Care-Connect, the senior care ministry of Lutheran Social Services (LSS), will discontinue its care management services in the Brenham community effective September 30th.

Like most organizations, Care-Connect has been impacted by the prevailing economy, and financially is no longer able to sustain the geriatric care management program in Brenham. Dr. Kurt Senske, chief executive officer of LSS, emphasized how much LSS appreciates and values its long time relationship with Christ Lutheran Church and its members. Care-Connect has been instrumental in enabling many Central Texas seniors to remain independent in their homes, and it is with regret that LSS must discontinue this important service in this particular region.

LSS is grateful to the membership of Christ Lutheran for the partnership and support of Care-Connect and the ministries of LSS, and is hopeful that Christ and LSS will continue  its shared partnership of providing help, healing, and hope in the name of Jesus Christ through its children’s and other senior services.
